Privacy Policy for The Hangman Online Multiplayer

1. Introduction

The Hangman Online Multiplayer is a fun and competitive word-guessing game inspired by the timeless classic Hangman. In this modern version, players test their vocabulary and quick thinking skills by guessing letters to reveal hidden words before the stickman is fully drawn. With smooth animations, multiple game modes, and real-time online battles, the App delivers an exciting experience for players of all ages.
The App offers several ways to play: challenge yourself in solo mode, compete with a friend on the same device, or enter online matches against players from around the world. Players can track their performance through statistics and leaderboards, customize sound and music settings, and enjoy a clean, modern design that enhances gameplay.

The App is globally accessible and available in 8 languages, making it easy for players worldwide to join the fun. Users may play as guests or connect with friends for online matches. Features such as global rankings and optional in-app enhancements further enrich the experience.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users worldwide and is designed to comply with the requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By using the App, you also agree to our Terms of Service, which govern your overall use of the App and are incorporated herein by reference.

2. Information We Collect


  • 2.1 User-Provided Data
    When you use the App, we may collect the following user-provided data:

    • Account Information: If you log in with your Google account, we collect your Google user ID and email address to authenticate your account and enable online features (e.g., leaderboards, friend lists, online play).

    • Profile Information: You can create a profile with a username, country selection, and an optional profile picture. This information is displayed on leaderboards and during online play.

    • Friend Lists: You can add friends from around the world; we store this list to facilitate social interactions.

    • Game Data: We collect game-related data such as your scores, win/loss records, and game history, which are displayed on your profile and leaderboards.

    Guest Mode: If you play as a guest, we do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). Guest users cannot access online features like leaderboards, friend lists, or in-app purchases.

  • 2.2 Automatically Collected Data (Third-Party Services)
    We use third-party services such as AdMob and Firebase Analytics for advertising and analytics. In future updates, additional services may be integrated to manage optional in-app purchases. These services may automatically collect certain device information, including:
    • Device type and model
    • Operating system version
    • App usage data (e.g., screens viewed, features used)
    • General location (country or region)
    • Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
    We do not have direct access to or control over the information collected by these third parties. Their use of the data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

3. How We Use Collected Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • App Functionality:

    • Authenticating users via Google login and enabling online play.

    • Displaying usernames, countries, and scores on leaderboards (global, country-specific, and friends).

    • Managing friend lists and facilitating online interactions.

    • Saving game progress, profile settings, and preferences (e.g., language, sound settings, marker selections).

  • Third-Party Services:

    • AdMob: Displaying personalized ads within the App. Users who purchase Remove Ads can still choose to watch rewarded ads to earn coins.

    • Firebase Analytics: Compiling usage analytics to improve app performance and user experience based on aggregated data.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personally identifiable information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services within The Hangman:

  1. AdMob:

    • Used to display advertisements within the App.

    • AdMob may use advertising identifiers to show relevant ads to you.

  2. Firebase Analytics:

    • Helps us understand how users interact with The Hangman, so we can improve functionality and user experience.

    • Data collected is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

These services operate independently of us. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand their data handling practices.

5. Intellectual Property & Credits

All game visuals, designs, interface elements, animations, and other graphical content featured in the App are original creations and are exclusively owned by AS Studio Apps. Any resemblance to real persons, living or deceased, or to other fictional characters is purely coincidental and unintended.

Background music used in the App is provided by Cyberwave Orchestra from Pixabay and is used in accordance with Pixabay’s content license.

6. Data Management and Deletion

6.1 Profile Management

Through the App’s profile settings, you can edit your profile, delete your game records, or remove your profile entirely. Deleting your profile will remove all associated data (e.g., username, scores, friend lists) from our servers. However, you can create a new profile with the same Google account if you wish.

6.2 Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services. When you delete your profile, all data is immediately removed from our servers.

7. Data Security

We do not store sensitive personal data (e.g., payment information) on our servers. Data processed by third-party services (AdMob, Firebase Analytics, RevenueCat) is stored and managed according to their security and privacy protocols.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Hangman Online Multiplayer is not specifically directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. User Consent and Data Collection

In compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and Google Play policies, we may request your permission to track data for personalized ads via AdMob. You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device settings. Non-personalized ads may still be displayed.

10. Global Accessibility

The App is available worldwide and supports 8 languages currently. Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, Chinese, and more. 11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the revised policy in the App and update the “Effective Date” at the top.
